TRA_2013_Graphic_for_upload

The Teaching Recognition Awards (TRA) were designed to recognize anesthesiology faculty who have demonstrated outstanding teaching skills and significant contributions to the academic community. Two separate awards, Innovation in Education and Achievement in Education, were granted annually. After awarding almost $250,000 to 24 recipients from 1997 until 2014, these awards are being refreshed for 2017.

Innovation in Education

The Innovation in Education Award funded novel concepts or applications that improve educational programs and advance the practice of anesthesiology. Candidates must have demonstrated recent and documented implementation of these new educational tools and practices.

Achievement in Education

The Achievement in Education Award recognized an anesthesiology educator who has substantially changed and advanced education in medicine.
